Hello, I'm Sandra Herrgott.
I’m an illustrator and designer living in Australia.
My need & ability to create has always been a part of my being. Growing up in Germany I would mainly draw landscapes in my spare time. I would draw these in solitude as they provided me with peace and time to think. Spending this time creating and seeing an idea come to life instilled in me a passion for art and painting. These days my passion for art has evolved into a dedicated love of creating playful characters and telling a story worth sharing.
After studying Landscape Architecture and Urban Design, I found my true passion for illustrating and have been working as a freelance illustrator since 2018.
I work both digitally in Photoshop and traditionally with Watercolors and have developed a whimsical style in both mediums. Animals and children in nature are my favourite subjects to illustrate and I'm excited to be illustrating the kinds of books I love reading to my own children.
My client list includes Wildergeese, Koorong Bookstores, Colorado Craft Company, Blue Knight Rubber Stamps, Moments with Mothers and more.
When I'm not dipping a brush into water and ink or try out new photoshop brushes, I enjoy spending quality time with my husband and two boys, especially on nature walks and playing music or board games.
