STACIE BLOOMFIELD'S LEVERAGE YOUR ART 2024
In 2022 I signed up for Stacie Bloomfield's Leverage Your Art and it blew my mind. Stacie not only taught me how to use my art for multiple income streams, but she also covers all the basics and the more advanced steps to take towards a successful create business.
Some of the things I learnt during LYA:
Finding my signature style - prior to LYA I created my art in many different ways, not knowing what I wanted to achieve, just hoping to sell some pieces
Set up systems that allow a faster work flow - organisation is key. I loved how Stacey took me by the hand and showed me step by step how she runs her business, from organising her files to writing pitch emails, etc.
How to go about using my existing art to create Hand Embroidery PDF Files and the inspiration/motivation to work with a 3rd party company to create Machine Embroidery Files form my already drawn designs. That’s where Leverage your art came in for me.
Making a living through art is totally possible. But my vision, is not just to make a living, I want to enjoy what I do and have time to care for my family.
I personally don’t know anyone better than Stacie to teach you all the business side of being a successful artist. I wished I had access to all this information 10 years ago. It would have saved me a lot of anxiety and working hard for just hoping someone will discover me maybe one day.
My main achievements since taking Leverage
Since taking LYA in 2022 I have opened my second Etsy shop where I successfully sell Hand Embroidery PDF Templates (currently 400+ designs in stock) and hundreds of Machine Embroidery Files.
I was able to update this website to reflect what I do and love.
Last year I opened my Spoonflower Shop with now almost 400 designs for sale.
My fresh 2024 portfolio is finished, ready to be pitch for Licensing to a variety of companies.
I now finally understand all the different licensing contracts and feel confident to negotiate.
